July 6th: Richard Hilton

Richard’s passion to reach the lost began when he was only nineteen. His zeal to win others to Christ launched him into evangelism as a teenager! Richard served as a full-time evangelist conducting weekend crusades while still in College! This passion later compelled him to plant Calvary Church breaking racial, social, and economic barriers. From that beginning, multiple church & missionary plants have been developed with the same heart for worldwide harvest. Richard has developed church expansion and growth strategies that equip, inspire, and develop both churches and next generation leaders. His message provokes healthy culture change. As a “pastor to pastors”, Richard mentors, inspires, & counsels pastors, ministry leaders, & youth in multiplied churches and ministries worldwide.

July 13th: Terrence Wilson

For the past six years, Pastors Terrance and Johanne Wilson have faithfully led COOL Church—a thriving, multi-campus ministry founded on the powerful belief that we are all Created Out Of Love. Their deep compassion for people and passion for God have shaped a vibrant, inclusive community where everyone is welcomed and valued.

Before launching COOL Church in Miramar and Miami Gardens, both pastors served in leadership at Trinity Church in Miami, where they poured into others through various ministry roles. Pastor Terrance began his ministry journey as a youth leader and eventually became the church’s Creative Director, serving on staff for over 13 years. During that time, his heart for the next generation helped build one of the city’s most impactful young adult ministries—The Rendezvous (which evolved into VOUS).

Pastor Terrance is also a gifted creative. He earned a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and he continues to blend his artistic talents with his ministry calling, inspiring others through both word and design.

Together with his wife Johanne, Pastor Terrance is raising their daughter Valencia, who is already walking in her parents’ creative footsteps.

With a strong commitment to both local service and global outreach, Pastors Terrance continues to inspire and empower others to live boldly and love deeply.

July 20th: Courtney McBath

Courtney McBath believes transformational leadership can inspire change, strengthen communities, and leave a lasting impact. With decades of experience in leadership, ministry, and organizational development, he has dedicated his life to encouraging others to discover their God-given purpose and fulfill their assignments confidently and clearly.

As the former senior pastor of Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, VA, Courtney spent 35 years pioneering initiatives that changed lives. Now, through his global work as a mentor, coach, and consultant, he guides individuals and organizations to embrace innovative strategies and create meaningful impact. His education, which includes degrees from Regent University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the University of Oxford, provides a strong foundation for his work.

Currently serving as the President of Virginia Christian College, he is preparing students through biblical principles, spiritual discipline, and practical knowledge for impactful service in both ministry and marketplace. As CEO of Courtney McBath Leadership, his organization equips individuals with the tools they need to make a difference with purpose. Guided by core values—effective coaching, Christian principles and work ethics, servant mindset, and encouraging the heart—his work reflects an unwavering commitment to transformation.

Passionate about developing the next generation of leaders, Courtney helps them navigate challenges and inspires them to make meaningful contributions to their communities. His approach emphasizes not just personal growth but also faith-centered principles that inspire positive change.

At home in Hampton Roads, Virginia, he and his wife, Janeen, have shared over 40 years of marriage, building a legacy of love alongside their children and grandchildren. Whether mentoring others, addressing audiences, or enjoying family life, his dedication to empowering people shines through in everything he does.

July 27th: Rodney Manley

Rodney Manley is an Associate Pastor at Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, Virginia. Raised in Chesapeake, VA, Rodney knows firsthand the trials of street life. He lost his father at a young age and turned to the streets for quick money and a place to belong. But through a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, he traded survival for salvation and now dedicates his life to preaching the Gospel with passion and authenticity.

He loves to bring messages to life with real-life examples and object lessons to drive biblical truths deep into the hearts of the listener. With an affinity for young people and ex-offenders, Rodney’s message is not limited to the walls of the church, but he also speaks at schools, detention centers, and community events.

Rodney is a Class A contractor and the founder of LIFEBuild, a non-profit that offers construction training, life skills coaching, and mentoring to justice involved and opportunity youth and young adults. His story is one of transformation, proving that God can raise up a messenger from any background. His mission is to build bridges—from the streets to the sanctuary, from hurt to healing, from the past to purpose.

Rodney and his wife, Tina, are the parents of three and grandparents to five amazing grand kids.

August 3rd: Bobby Manning

Dr. Bobby Manning is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and Senior Pastor of The Heights Church. Under Dr. Manning’s leadership in empowering the community, “The Heights” has been recognized in local and national publications such as Outreach Magazine, BET, and The Washington Post. Dr. Manning is the author of four books. Saving Our Sons, Move Like a King, Are You Afraidof Heights, and GENTEGRATION: Connecting Leaders Across Generations. In addition to serving his local church, he also serves as a seminary professor, church consultant, leadership coach, and President of the Collective Empowerment Group. Dr. Manning holds a Master of Theology degree (Th.M.) from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree (D.Min) from Regent University. He is a native of the Washington, D.C. area where he and his wife LaVera currently reside with their three sons Levi, Reuben, and Joseph.

August 10th: Derrick Barbee

Derrick is a native of Flint, Michigan & a ridunkulous fan of the University of Michigan-GO BLUE!!! He, his brilliant & beautiful therapist-wife Tracy, & smart & lovely daughter-Serenity have resided in the Hampton Roads area since 2012. He also has two other adult kids; Derrick II & Danielle, & three stupendous grandkids, Jazarah, Astro, & Aultra.

Having lived in four different states, multiple cities, & traveled for missions & educational work outside the U.S., Derrick has developed a broad, eclectic, & diverse communal perspective on faith, race, culture, politics, & life. He loves to chop it up with anybody & swap ideas, insights, & informed opinions on any topic under the sun.

He has done a ton of church, professorial, & leadership type stuff over the last two decades and picked up a few degrees, licenses, & such here and there (all of which would bore you to death if mentioned here, so let’s not & say we did!). He currently provides pastoral leadership at Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, Virginia, in discipleship, & tries to flunk students as an adjunct professor at Norfolk start-up Seapointe College. Derrick’s desire is to educate, encourage, & equip others.
